Community Partnerships

organic farm community partnersFeeding Crane Farms proudly partners with California Food Literacy Center, which was founded in 2011 to address rising food-related problems in our region: only 25% of Americans eat five servings of fruit and veggies daily. In California, 38% of children are overweight.

Feeding Crane Farms joined California Food Literacy Center and 2,000 Sacramento residents as they celebrated Food Literacy Month. The nonprofit sponsored ACR-161, which the California legislature turned into law in August in an effort to spread food literacy awareness throughout the state.

"Feeding Crane Farms fills an important piece of the puzzle for families who lack access to fresh produce. Their booth at the Oak Park farmers market, donations to the food bank, and donations to our program help families experience the foods that we teach about in class," says Amber Stott, Founder of the nonprofit.
